evon and siew lee were asking me go for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We have long time did not gather already, so this dinner make me feel like old friends gathering... i am always miss the moments when we went out together like Mid Valley, Evon's house, station one restaurant.....

That day we met a very nice and friendly waiter, he was nice enough until wanted to treats us drinks since we just order Japanese Soba, Chicken chop and 3 slices of cakes but no drinks... we feel so happy of the kindness of him...

After that i only found that Secret Recipe has free Syrup drink for each of us because it was Hari Raya Puasa (Muslim fasting) season .... but the waiter so cute because he said he "treats" us...

Ok, actually me, another birthday girl, sze yin and yan ping who flew to Japan after the trip already know they were celebrating with us but we also coordinated with them by pretend sleep in the room while they were busy preparing the cake and candles...

look, i was so "surprise'' when hui woon taking the cake while walked inside the room and all of them sang "happy birthday to you.....''



Making wishes:
Me: lose weight and gain wealth
Yin: lose weight and get a rich and handsome admirer
Ping: lose weight and speak fluent in japanese...

see, most of the girls' wish is just simple but its difficult to achive...

we were to be of one mind in cutting cake, this called sistership....

They hid all the presents in the atpartment and let us to find out ourselves... i used the longest time to find although my present is so big, haha... see my stupid act, feel like want to tell myself ''come on ivy, you are already 21st, be mature ok'' when looking on this picture, but what to do, i am always childish in front of them just to maintain my cuty queen throne.. hehehe


Sze Yin got the 'biggest' surprise because the unromance Adam told her earlier what her present was -a puppy soft toy.
They give me monkey's one because it looks like MC, good reason huh...
You can see yan ping was so intoxicated with her new scarf...

All of our backbones were fall in love with the sofa and dont like to separate with it anymore since the first sight of each other, thats why our position looks so lazy... haha

Celebrating 21st birthday with family

19 September 2008, little girl thim thim was turn to be sweet lady Miss Leong!! phewiiit!!



A week before my birthdat, the week of mooncake festival, i purposely went back hometown to celebrate my birthday with my love parents... (in heart : to claim my ang pau, haha)


We went Victoria Station, a very famous western restaurant, because itself claims that "our steaks taste better,..." Isit really the steaks is better than The Ship or Fridays?

I am not sure because our whole family seldom eat beef instead i ordered Salmon Steak... also steak huh? Good texture, great taste, big portion and of course $$$$ its cost around RM36, the menu did not show me the price for this dish because it states it is depends on weight....

The uniform of the waiters in victoria station make me feel very funny becuase when i saw them i did'nt feel that they are train's crew members like this:

Me and my mother, she is a superwoman, she know to do a lot of things, so amazing, cheese cake, tiramisu, pasta, pizza, pastry, pie, puff, pao, buns, curry, chinese dishes, western food, local food like laksa, hokied mee, curry mee..... wow, don't jealous, the results are the round stomach of mine and my dad, never flat in my life....


My lovely papa, my super hero, people always say father love dearly more on daughter than son, i not sure for my brother, but for me the love i receive is more than 100%... He is so supporting me, calls me always, seldom shouts on me, buy anything that he can affort and i request, concern...... I love you papa..

My present from my father, key shape platinium necklace... a sign of 21-year-old, meand that your parent give you the key they locked you and now you are turn adult and can manage you life with fully freedom... wow... i more prefer to be kid sometime actually....

First and the only time to club....

Actually the first time i was "clubbing" was at genting - Safari. But i don't think that counted as clubing i rather called it "drinking" or "boaring"...

ok, i have to mention here before Uncle Lim II sue me of calumny his Safari， i would say boaring because that night 4 of us all girls went there before 10pm and go back around 11 something... so its normal why i don't treat it as a clubbing experiance....

So ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce, the club that very innocent ivy leong first time and the only time (till 16 Nov 2008) clubing experiance located is - - The Euphoria - chiang -chiang - chiang -chiang----

Erm... don't misunderstanding, as you now, i am still 21, muahaha!! so that was my lovely coursemate Miss Siew Kean aka Paola 22nd birthday, and she said she wanted to do some adult things (as i know she is adult enough with love experiances, drink, clubbing... but wonder why she still not sure....)

This was the girthday girl before she drunk, Siew Kean (left), with JJ and May...

JJ felt very happy at first when Kean introduced May to him, he is always exciting in social with pretty girls.... All of us just have a chanve to say "Hi" to her after that JJ was keep talking with her happily until her boyfriend arrived lately.... That time the words "very beh syok" (means unhappy) was appear on his face... Pity JJ....


Well, actually this photo have nothing interesting story to tell about that night, but i still put here because Looksss!! my wasist is so slimmmmmm........ thanks mc hands and photographer... Its magic!!

Steam Chocolate Pudding Cake

Last weekend i suddenly have the mood to do some kitchen work.

I make chocolate peanut pancake, the person who ate said its delicious and the taste just like the pancake sold at outside but i didnt took the picture because i saw the texture not so attractive as pancake at market so i thought its not delicious.... After ate only know its good... hehe..

I also do durian pudding with real durian as the filling, just imagine the lemon color durian pudding wrap the fresh durian flesh.. yummy....

However my steam puto bun was failed, haha.. maybe i put so much char siew (BBQ pork) inside so it become over wet and the batter cant rise very well..

Finally, the most satisfy dish is Steam Chocolate Pudding Cake...
The pudding is just nice to bite, thick chocolate favor, wont too soft and its not creamy just like jelly...
The chocolate cake as the base is very nice, standard chocolate smell, not greasy because i don't use butter, and its steam!! its healthier!!
The cream color slices is tiger biscuit, after put in the pudding, it become soft but when you eat, the milk favor of the original biscuit is still remain, so nice..
Deng deng deng deng....

My very first time steam chocolate cake, and chocolate pudding... (i feel so touch when its came just nice and success, cause i used to steam cake before but not so satisfied)

Steam Chocolate Pudding Cake recipe: (6 inch mold)
Base (steam chocolate cake):
1 egg
2 tbsp caster sugar
a bit salt
1/2 cup all purpose flour (better use cake flour)
1 tbsp chocolate powder (you may use 10g chocolate bar, melt them with double boiled)
1/2 tsp baking powder

1. Line the bottom of pan with parchment paper. I use loose base mold so can skip this.
2. Add egg, sugar and salt in a bowl, doubled boil until its warm or sugar melt. (don't let the egg cooked)
3. With a hand mixer beat the ingredients in step2 till the mixture turn into light color and fluffy (around 5 minute)
4. Mix flour and baking powder. Then mix well with the egg and sugar mixture with a spoon or spatula.
5. Add in chocolate powder, mix well.
6. Pour the batter into the pan, smooth the top. Steam for 10 min.
7. When you put a chopstick inside the cake then its come out clean means the cake is cooked.

Chocolate pudding:
10g agar-agar powder
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder + 1/2 cup water. Strain.
500 ml chocolate milk

1. Mix agar-agar powder with water and heat it to boil.
2. When boiling, add in sugar till dissolve.
3. Remove from heat, add chocolate milk.
4. Pour half of the pudding on the cake.
5. Chill the cake meanwhile keep warm the other half part of pudding.
6. When the pudding on cake is set, use a knife lightly cut the surface of the pudding.
7. Arrange any biscuit u like, you may insert an edge of some biscuits slightly into the pudding so that after you pour the upper layer of pudding the biscuits won't float.
8. Pour the remain pudding.
9. Chill for at least 1 hour before serve....
10. Enjoy :)

这张照片被命名为“饥饿的苏丹”，是Kevin Carter 获得1994年Pulitzer Prize的摄影杰作。当时南非在闹饥荒，Kevin Carter到哪里去进行他的拍摄工作。有一天，他驾着他的吉普车在街道上行驶，无意间让他看到一个瘦骨如材的饥饿小女孩无力的瘫趴在路上，有一只秃鹰虎视眈眈的在凝视着这位小女孩，好像在等待她饿死以便可以叼食她饱食一顿，这是多么强烈的一个对比，多么讽刺的一个情景啊！Kevin Carter 马上停下他的车子，拿着摄影机摄下这一张让人怜悯悲恸的画面，然后绝尘而去。大家都不知道小女孩的命运将会是如何，这张照片的下一秒钟将会是什么画面？凶残的老鹰是否会如愿以偿呢？
虽然这张照片让Kevin Carter一举成名，受到了全世界的关注，但是接着而来的是社会的炮轰，道德的谴责。为什么，为什么当时他不对小女孩伸出援手呢？为什么她不载小女孩去难民收留营呢？如果是担心接触她会染上传染病，那么至少也该给她一条面包和一瓶水吧！难道他对生命没有爱？那么一个没有爱的摄影师是不可能会拍出让人感动的照片的！没错！这张照片不会让我们感受到人性的大爱，只会让我们看到人类的无情与冷酷，也让我们痛心又愤怒！
三个月过后，Kevin Carter 自杀了......他连自己的生命也都不爱惜了......他留下了一张纸条写到：“真的，真的对不起大家，生活的痛苦远远超过了欢乐的程度。”
有传说，他是受到了良心的责备而想不开，也有人说他是受不了媒体对他的批评，社会对他的谴责，千夫所指的压力逼他踏上了不归路。不过他的一些朋友说他是遇到了一些生活上的困难，因为他的遗书有写到：“心情恶劣，没有电话......没有付房租的钱......总是警察、总是屠夫......” 从另一个角度来看，Kevin就像是那个女孩，而媒体就像是那只凶猛的秃鹰，媒体无情的评击渐渐的让他走向死亡......
唉！我说啊，如果一个人不懂得爱惜别人的生命，也该好好的爱自己吧！当然，最好是能够培养出博爱的精神，将大爱传遍世界上的每一个角落，人与人之间如果能因为爱而联系然后惺惺相惜，那该是多么美好的一件事情啊！
